The meeting of the Lincoln Township Planning Commission was called to order by Chairperson Sheila Mesler at 6:30 pm.
Roll call was taken: Reid Duford, Sheila Mesler, Chris Clark, and Sue Ensign were all present. Mark Thornton was absent.
A motion was made by Sue Ensign to approve the agenda and was supported by Chris Clark. Motion approved 4-0.
Motion by Sue Ensign and supported by Reid Duford to approve the minutes of the May 15, 2012 meeting. Motion approved 4-0.
Open Public Hearing
Gogo, LLC Wireless Telecommunications Facility (formally Aircell) requested a Special Use Permit to construct and operate a wireless broadband tower at 7206 W Wackerly St on parcel no. 56-110-035-400-075-00. Ken Kuszpit representing Gogo, LLC explained the project to the Planning Commission. He said the tower will be constructed as a self-supported 3-leg tower, instead of the Monopole as was proposed in their previous requests.
After some discussion, Reid Duford made a motion to approve the petitioner’s request with the condition that the petitioner must also satisfy all requirements for approval from the MDOT, FAA, and the City of Midland – Barstow Airport. The motion was supported by Chris Clark and was approved 4-0.
