The meeting of the Lincoln Township Planning Commission was called to order by Chairperson Sheila Mesler at 6:30 pm.
Roll call was taken: Sheila Mesler, Sue Ensign, Reid Duford, Chris Clark, and David Dauer were all present.
A motion was made by Sue Ensign to approve the agenda as amended to add a site plan review under new business. The motion was supported by Reid Duford and approved 5-0.
Motion by David Dauer and supported by Chris Clark to approve the minutes of the May 2, 2017 meeting. Motion approved 5-0.
Commission Comments: Sue Ensign received a letter from Sandy Reardon, Larkin Township Clerk notifying the Planning Commission that Larkin Township is preparing an update to their Master Plan and is asking for input from Lincoln Township with regards to land use planning for our shared region.
Public Comments: None
New Business: Derek Klumpp requested a site plan review to add two new 90’ x 30’ metal storage buildings along Meridian Road at 2046 N Meridian Rd (parcel no. 110-028-300-160-00). After some discussion, Reid Duford made a motion to approve the proposed site plan as presented and to be constructed in compliance with the Lincoln Township Zoning and Building Ordinances. The motion was supported by Sue Ensign and approved 5-0.
Old Business: Master Plan update – Rob Eggers, from Spicer Group presented and explained a draft copy of the proposed 2017 Master Plan to be adopted by the township board. After much discussion, a motion was made by Sue Ensign to send the draft 2017 Master Plan to the Township Board for their approval, at their next meeting, for distribution to adjacent communities, entities, and Midland County for a 63-day review. The motion was supported by Reid Duford and approved 5-0.
