Planning Commission Meeting Minutes — May 6, 2025

The meeting of the Lincoln Township Planning Commission was called to order by Chairperson Jamie Crockett at 6:30 pm.

Roll call was taken: David Dauer, Reid Duford, Andrew Acker, Brad Wirtz and Jamie Crockett were all present.

New Business:

1. 1.)Public Hearing
   1. a)Modify Chapter 8 Section 8.5c Drainage
   2. b)Modify Chapter 3 Section 3.8g Graphics
   3. c)Update Zoning Ordinance to reflect the date of revision
   4. d)Update Zoning Ordinance to reflect the current Lincoln Township Board and Planning Commission Members
   5. e)Review the adoptions of the 2017 Lincoln Township Master Plan for five additional years.

1. 2.)Site Plan Review
   1. a)Plan review for Self-Storage Facility at 2152 North Meridian Road, Sanford, MI 48657 was conditionally approved. Property developer and civil engineer to make the following changes to the drawings and resubmit to the Lincoln Township Planning Commission for record:
      1. i.)Provide freeboard elevation contour line around the detention pond showing 638.5'.
      2. ii.)Provide proposed grades for the ditch that runs West from the detention pond spillway restrictor outlet to the drain that runs parallel with M-30.
      3. iii.)Provide updated restrictor elevation (lower than incoming storm water invert elevation of 636') (Sheet C-7 detail 2/C-7 (see attached page))

Engineering drawing, printed sideways, titled Storm Water Management Plan, Sheet C-7, prepared by Lapham Associates for Dan Willey, 2152 N. Meridian Rd, Sanford, MI 48657. Meridian Road (M-30) runs along one short end of a long, narrow site. Six self-storage buildings are drawn solid in a row, with more outlined lightly as proposed future buildings. Proposed catch basins run along both long sides. A storm water detention basin, shaded blue, fills the far end of the site, with a channel running back along one side to it. Neighboring land on the other sides is labeled Zoned R-2. Also on the sheet: a Pipe Outlet Protection Detail, a Restrictor Detail, a stage storage table, storm water calculations and a graphic scale. Most small text is too small to read.
