The meeting of the Lincoln Township Planning Commission was called to order by Vice Chairperson Susan Ensign at 6:40 pm.
Roll call was taken: Sue Ensign, Chris Clark and Mark Thornton were present. Reid Duford and Sheila Mesler were absent.
A motion was made by Mark Thornton to approve the agenda and was supported by Chris Clark. Motion approved 3-0.
Motion by Chris Clark and supported by Mark Thornton to approve the minutes of the October 21, 2014 meeting. Motion approved 3-0.

New Business
The Commission set dates for 2015 Planning Commission Meetings. Proposed meeting dates: 01/06/2015; 03/03/2015; 05/05/2014; 07/21/2015; 09/15/2015; 11/17/2015
A motion was made by Chris Clark to approve the proposed meeting dates and was supported by Mark Thornton. Motion approved 3-0.
Old Business
Rob Eggers from Spicer Group in attendance to discuss Zoning Ordinances pertaining to Signs, Blight/Weeds, Private Roads, and Medical Marijuana.
Signs Ordinance
Recommendation is to allow 2 signs for > 400 lineal ft. of frontage, to increase Max. Sq. ft. from 50’ to 80’ per sign, and to increase sign height from 8’ to 10’. Changes will require an amendment to zoning ordinance. Proposed changes will require public hearing prior to implementation. The recommended approach for addressing Sign Ordinance Enforcement is to first send out a general public communication regarding Sign Ordinance and follow-up with specific notices at later date for non-compliance.
Blight/Weeds Ordinance
A motion was made by Susan Ensign and supported by Mark Thornton to have The Planning Commission make recommendation to Township Board to change Ordinance No. 5 Anti – Blight Ordinance to include that Overgrown Grass and Weeds shall not be allowed in areas zoned as R2 (High Density). Motion approved 3-0.
Medical Marijuana
Current ordinance does not allow dispensaries. Planning Commission will not make any changes at this time. There is pending legislation to have communities allow dispensaries to sell marijuana. Planning Commission will review again with any changes in legislation.
Private Roads
No further discussion at this time.
Mining Ordinance
Will review ordinance in 2015.
