The meeting of the Lincoln Township Planning Commission was called to order by Chairperson Sheila Mesler at 6:30 pm.

Roll call was taken: Sheila Mesler, Sue Ensign, Andrew Acker, David Dauer, Jamie Crockett, and Reid Duford were present.

Motion: Carried unanimously

A motion was made by Sue Ensign to approve the agenda. The motion was supported by Reid Duford and approved 6-0.

Motion: Carried unanimously

Motion by Reid Duford and supported by David Dauer to approve the minutes of the July 17, 2018 meeting. Motion approved 6-0.

Commission Comments

Sue Ensign mentioned an article from the Midland Daily News where MDN commends Lincoln Township’s leadership and fiscal responsibility, and hopes it can be an example for other communities in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Jennifer Clawson, from the Spicer Group, led a discussion of proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance and new language to be added that addresses Utility-Scale Solar equipment, parking and storage of campers, boats, trailers, and etc. in a residential district, outdoor storage containers, and new fee schedule.

New Business

Sue Ensign is preparing to schedule a Special Planning Meeting for a site plan review for OHM Advisers to construct a new Dow Chemical Employees Credit Union ATM to be sited north of the Long Branch Saloon.

The next meeting is scheduled for Nov 8, 2018

The meeting adjourned at 8:12 pm
