Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Implementation Plan

As a new Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) permittee, the collaborative permittees will be focusing efforts on dry-weather screening via the Illicit Discharge Elimination Program (IDEP) per the direction of Michigan Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) staff. During the next permit term, it is anticipated that the collaborative permittees will need to submit a Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) plan for approval. The City of Midland, Lincoln Township, Midland County Drain Commissioner, and Midland County Road Commission are anticipating to work collaboratively in the future on the TMDL plan, however, this decision will be finalized during the next permit cycle.
