Regular meeting of the Lincoln Township Board called to order at 7:00 pm with Fales, Oswald, Wilson, Meredith and Wirtz, and 5 guests present.
Agenda was unanimously approved as presented after motion by Wilson and second by Meredith.
No public comments. Correspondence presented, concerning Mosquito Drive's tire drive and disclosing area affected by mosquito control spraying.
Minutes of March 11 regular board meeting and March 25 budget/Truth-in-Taxation meetings approved as amended after motion by Wirtz and second by Meredith.
Treasurer's report was heard.
Payment of bills in the amount of $21,566.23 in the general fund, $10,370.28 in the fire fund, $13,311.00 in the sanitation fund, $1,709.75 in the road fund (switched to water fund), and $237.01 in the liquor fund were approved unanimously by roll call vote after motion by Wertz and second by Meredith. [Fales/Y; Wilson/Y; Oswald/Y; Meredith/Y; Wirtz/Y]
Fire department, planning commission, building inspector, code enforcement, water authority, solid waste, and park reports were heard. Meeting of the Planning Commission will be held May 6 at the township hall for public comment regarding recent amendments to zoning ordinances. This will not interfere with election operations.
No further discussion occurred concerning township hall rental issues. This will be readdressed as the proposed changes for the new website begin. Treasurer Oswald found two companies at the MTA conference that would be suitable: Civic and Shumaker. Ron Thompson's son is also interested. A list of "WANTS" should be developed for an RFP to these companies.
Upon motion by Supervisor and second by Treasurer Oswald, David Smith was approved unanimously as a new firefighter.
Discussion on Board of Review wage structure was tabled.
The new MERS pension rep will be asked to do an informational meeting during June or July 2025. All pension participants are asked to complete enrollment paperwork and attend this meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:07 pm by Supervisor Fales.
