Township Board Meeting Minutes — August 12, 2025

Meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. with full board and five guests present.

Agenda was accepted as presented.

Public comment held. MERS retirement fund returns announced – 7.72%.

Bee/hornet nest hanging from light pole near corner of Harry Lane.

Correspondence presented and discussed. Auditor letter mentioned.

Minutes of July 8, 2025 approved as read.

Treasurer’s report presented and approved.

Bills presented; unanimously approved for payment. Procedural correction announced for future bill approvals >$500.

Fire department report presented. 27 runs since last report. New recruit approved for onboarding.

First bill presented from Jerome for call coverage in Lincoln.

Planning commission/Building Inspector/Water Authority/Solid Waste/Township Parks reports presented.

Two new building permits issued/three new violations.

Pictures for new website can be taken at future meeting/sent to webmaster. Webmaster wants content from board to convert and post.

EGLE update given and budget line-item creation discussed/amounts for engineering/planning and permit fees.

Contract with Spicer signed by Supervisor. Deadline is August 29, 2025.

Antique Drive road maintenance agreement is progressing. Attorney opinion letter was presented/discussed.

Expenditure increase for Monroe Road project approved unanimously.

Fire department donation letters approved for signature.

Approve attendance to MTA conference for Treasurer.

Approve attendance to MCTOA meeting on 9-4-25 at Larkin Township Hall.
