Board Meeting Minutes (Proposed)
December 11, 2012
The regular meeting of the Lincoln Township Board was called to order by the Supervisor at 7:00 pm, with Wray, Crockett, Ensign, Trinklein, Thornton, and 12 guests present.
The agenda was approved after motion by Ensign and second by Crockett.
Public comments were heard and correspondence was read.
The minutes of the November 13, 2012 regular board meeting were approved after motion by Crockett and second by Ensign.
The treasurer’s report was heard.
Payment of bills in the amount of $45,787.96 in the general fund, $5,744.96 in the fire fund, $188.19 in the liquor fund, and $8,366.40 in the sanitation fund were approved by roll call vote after motion by Crockett and second by Ensign. The fire department, planning commission, ordinance enforcement officer, water authority, solid waste, and township parks reports were heard.
The regular meeting was recessed and a public hearing was opened after motion by Ensign and second by Crockett.
A public hearing was held to hear public comment on a proposed parks and recreation master plan. A Lincoln Township resident thought it was a good idea to develop a park because it gives the residents a place to go and will bring the community together. Another resident asked if there were any other township properties available for parks use and was told that the land next to the township hall was the only land currently in consideration. Another resident asked what the current plan was and was told that it was yet to be determined but would be done in stages as funding and resources permitted. There being no further comments or questions from the public, the public hearing was closed after motion by Crockett and second by Ensign.
The regular meeting was re-opened after motion by Trinklein and second by Ensign.
