Township Board Meeting Minutes — March 10, 2026

Meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. with full board and five guests present.

Agenda was approved as presented.

Public comment held. Red light on hall generator is displaying; need service call.

Correspondence presented/discussed. Sheriff Department has five new deputies; “Carcass Patrol” is starting up.

Minutes of February 10, 2026 meeting approved as presented.

Clerk’s report given. Treasurer’s report given. Bills approved/paid with unanimous roll call vote.

Fire department report given; 9 calls since last report. New tires installed on Engine 1521. Ceiling fans in the fire barn still not operating correctly; they require servicing.

Planning Committee report given. David Dauer is resigning from committee; resignation approved unanimously. Search for new member ongoing.

Building Inspector report given; three new permits issued. One variance request.

Ordinance Enforcement report given; Two new blight violations; one blight still in court process.

Water Authority report given. Solid Waste reports given. Township park report given.

MACF TOWN Grant of $5K still available.

No update from Brandle Roofing on the roof repairs. Supervisor still waiting.

Street light at M-30/Sanford Legion has been replaced, at no cost to township. Consumers identified others (Saginaw and Stark Road). Streetlight outage map program mentioned.

Budget & Truth and Taxation Meeting scheduled for Tuesday March 24 @ 6 p.m.

Supervisor discussed possible budget amendments.

24-25 Fiscal Year Review discussed. Small adjustments needed.

Township Bookkeeping briefly discussed.
