Truth in Taxation – Budget Meeting
Annual budget meeting of the Lincoln Township Board called to order at 6:00 pm with Fales, Sczepanski, Wilson, Wirtz, Oswald. Deputy clerk was also present.
Agenda unanimously approved as amended after motion by Oswald and second by Wilson.
The meeting opened with a motion by Meredith to amend the 2024/2025 budget. Wilson seconded the motion. Approved unanimously by roll call vote.
Special meeting recessed at 6:33PM and public hearings were held regarding the 2025/2026 fiscal year budget and truth in taxation. Public hearing was closed and special meeting was reopened to the public at 7:13 p.m.
Motion made by Meredith/seconded by Wilson to adopt 2025/2026 Budget. Passed unanimously by roll call vote.
Resolution presented by Supervisor Fales to extend the township’s current millage rate at 1.2806. This rate will be in place through March 31, 2026. Presented for approval by Fales, seconded by Meredith, passed unanimously by roll call vote.
Second resolution approved authorizing the township to buy/sell real property. Presented for approval by Fales, seconded by Wirtz, resolution passed unanimously by roll call vote.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm by Supervisor Fales. Trustee Meredith took the board on a short tour of the fire barn, and explained the equipment therein.
